Playgroup (PG)
Sensory Exploration, Experience & Movement – The Foundation of Early Learning
Young children learn best through their senses, with hands-on experiences and movement playing a vital role in brain development. These principles form the core of our thematic teaching for PG children, ensuring that learning is both engaging and meaningful.
Recognising that the first three years of life are a critical period for language acquisition, we embrace a whole-language approach that integrates learning into daily life. By immersing children in a rich and interactive environment, we nurture their natural curiosity, laying the foundation for confident communication and lifelong learning.
The Starry Child
Hands-on Activities
A wide variety of hands-on activities in the daily curriculum to develop their motor and cognitive skills and ignite curiosity.
Sensory Experiential Learning
Incorporating the sensory and whole language approach to the topic of watermelon, the educator brought a watermelon for the children to touch, feel, and cut in front of them for them to eat, engaging the five senses in the process.
Art Routine with Art Loft
Art Routine begins from the start. Children will learn the process for using the art corner in class, thereby learning to be responsible for the school materials and independently using the corner.
